Schools, businesses, and organizations are all affected by the flu every year with lost hours from students and workers. Although we cannot prevent the flu from occurring, we can take steps to limit the impact of the flu as much as possible. Promotional products can help prevent the spread of influenza. Building awareness on how to prevent the flu is a great way to limit lost hours and productivity. Promotional products provide great reminders for flu prevention. Here are some ideas other institutions have used:
• A state agency used wristlets imprinted with "wash your hands" to raise awareness with students and employees.

Here is a checklist of things you can do as an organization to help prevent the flu:
• Post a list of flu prevention techniques in high traffic areas.
• Periodically email employees to keep them informed of flu prevention techniques.
